I do realize I've seen nothing of the car selection screen but it'd be really cool to have some sort of announcer (possibly a robotic female voice or an over the top announcer ala OutRunners) when you chose your car. And maybe even a Radio selection during races. That's all the neat little arcade bells 'n' whistles I can think of for now.
This would be really cool! That could also open up the option of having announcer packs so we can choose an announcer.
Yeah! I didn't think of different unlockable announcers. That'd be really cool, though I couldn't really think of any other voices besides the two I mentioned.
I'm on board with this lol
I gave it a shot.
My inspiration was more along the lines of the original announcer from Ridge Racer, and while I know this wouldn't be a guarantee of landing a similar role, it's nice that I have a forum to try it out.
Holly crap dude that is nice, the crazy taxi made me laugh sience well it was funny in crazy taxi but even funnyier in drift stage ...
I love this idea! It'd be pretty neat if people could make their own voice packs and put them in the Steam Workshop.
Daytona USA car/track selection voice would be amazing.
Get a Snoop Dogg voice pack like now
I bet Myrone could do the voices, Hell, if his music is so freaking awesome, I bet his voice is even cooler.
One of my actress friends has agreed to do some voice over work for us. We've actually recorded some "ready…. GOs!" that sound really cool.
Yessssss. I like this.
Hahaha, this is great. Really like your character reel btw, good stuff.
I mentioned this to them on Twitter once already, if the game had this, it'd be perfect 10/10.
They should throw in a timer on the car selection screen for that authentic arcade stress.
I wouldn't mind a announcer for some reason I think of like Wave Racer 64's announcer when i think of drift stage.
I think more of Daytona USA's menu selection narrator:
Maybe can we have some comments for Drift Attack mode? Like over-enthusiastic announcer yelling: "Good!", "Nice!", "Outstanding!", "Amazing!", etc. You know, that kind of cheesy but always good stuff
