Hello everyone i wanted to ask if the vinyl record of driftstage game is ready to ship...i have bought one of these cool vinyls this is why i am asking If anyone knows please respond!

There will be an announcement about this very soon. I've seen a few pictures of the vinyls and they look great. Should ship very very very soon.

Most likely this coming week. They are being shipped from NYC to LA at the moment. The plan is to take some nice photos before they ship.

Its been a while since I purchased a vinyl. I would say its my first one I've bought in the last two or so years.

There was a delay in shipping them from NY to LA, so they didn't start shipping yet. We'll make a post when they start shipping out to pre-order customers

@Myrone By any chance could we eventually see a Tape Cassette release? Seems like that format is making a small comeback these days.

We tossed the idea around, but tapes are expensive to produce, and don't have a very large market.

Seems understandable. That's one of the reasons why small record labels (Like those that release Vaporwave cassettes, for example) only do small runs of like under 50, and charge at least $20 per tape.

Ah okay. I guess it makes sense and its understandable :).

@electrozity8 Aphex Twin recently released his Cheetah EP on cassette and that was limited to 2,000 copies. Not exactly small compared to 50 copies but still pretty damn rare.

I usually buy my tapes on bandcamp for less than 10€s, but they're also limited to very low numbers

Europe still has factories that make this stuff. Our vinyls are all produced in Europe, but they're a lot cheaper per unit than a cassette. USA has no industry like that due to environmental laws. Expensive logistics too, shipping from Europe and wiring funds to foreign banks..
